Benik Afobe will be in the Millwall squad after joining on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season and will compete with Andy Keogh, Rob Hulse, Dany N'Guessan and John Marquis for places in attack.Winger Scott Malone could be added to the squad after recovering from a back injury, but on-loan Derby forward Nathan Tyson is still out with ankle ligament damage.Midfielder Tamika Mkandawire is back in training after a knee injury but will not figure yet.
Skipper Paul Robinson is in Philadelphia as he recovers from an operation in a bid to resolve the groin problems which have kept him out virtually all season.
Blackpool continue to plummet down the table after another defeat. With a record of 1 win in 10 matches (5 losses in that time) The Tangerines are perilously close to the relegation places. They may sit in 15th position but they are only 6 points above 3rd bottom. With an overall record of 9 wins, 10 draws and 11 losses they would be in serious danger if not for the brilliant performances of attacker Tom Ince. His 16 goals in 28 games have more often than not been the difference.
Millwall's season has been a bit like Blackpools. A long series of good results followed by a serious drought. Millwall have 1 league win in 7 as they too start to drop down the table. After losing key men in Darius Henderson and Chris Wood Millwall lost a lot of their potency. Indeed the last three games have been lost withouth The Lions threatening the scorer. Millwall sit in 10th now with 11 wins, 8 draws and 11 losses. They are still handily placed for all their recent poor form as they are only 6 points behind Boro in 6th. Millwall have drafted in the highly rated Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe, however for all his promise he only managed 2 goals in 20 appearances for struggling Bolton.
